Pre-Market Briefing & Execution Log | 2026-09-07

Part 1: Previous Session Review

Yesterday’s session was controlled rather than busy. We took one trade in USDJPY and closed it as a winner, finishing with +35.0 net pips. With only one position on the book, the key takeaway is not volume but execution: the move offered enough follow-through to pay the risk without forcing additional entries.

USDJPY remained the cleanest pair on our board, supported by a firmer dollar tone and enough intraday structure to define risk clearly. After the target was reached, there was little reason to chase late-session liquidity. Protecting the gain was the right decision.

Part 2: Today’s Outlook & Watchlist

There are no high-impact red news events scheduled for today, so the market may lean more on technical levels, bond yields, and broader dollar flows rather than a single calendar catalyst. That does not mean volatility disappears; it simply means we should be more selective and avoid assuming a breakout will hold without confirmation.

Our main watch remains USDJPY. If price holds above the prior session’s value area and buyers continue defending pullbacks, we will look for continuation opportunities, but only with defined invalidation. If momentum fades, a deeper retracement could be more attractive than chasing highs.

EURUSD is the secondary asset to monitor. With no major scheduled data, range conditions are possible, so we prefer trades around clear support and resistance rather than mid-range entries. The plan is simple: stay patient, let liquidity build, and trade only when the structure justifies the risk.
